On July 4th, 2011 an inter-agency working group was created under the President’s Council on Civic Integration and Tolerance for the purpose of developing the second country report on the implementation of COE’s Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities.
The working group is made up of members from the following governmental agencies:menwatchessell.com National Security Council of Georgia; Foreign Ministry of Georgia; Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia; the Office of the State Minister for Reintegration; Ministry of Science and Education; the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Refugees and Accommodation; the Ministry of Justice; the Ministry for Regional Development and Infrastructure; Georgia’s Public Broadcaster and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. Members of the civil society sector organizations rc helicopter, the representatives from the Public Defender’s office, United Nations Association of Georgia, and the civic development agencies are also involved in the development of the country report.
For the purpose of having more involvement from civil society in the process of developing the second country report to the COE, the council on Civil Integration and Tolerance under the President of Georgia is starting the process of meetings and consultations with NGO representatives in the regions and the capital. Furthermore, any interested party has the opportunity to send their proposals and comments regarding the report through the web portal www.diversity.ge.
The deadline for the report is April 1st, 2012. Proposals and comments from interested parties will be received till March 20th, 2012 by (firstname.lastname@example.org).
