The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, international and non-governmental organizations, and the Council of Religions at the Public Defender’s Office.
In the years 2007-2009, the Council of Religions developed a unified social concept which reflects a unified vision on such issues as the relationship between the state and religion, liberal values and democracy, social cooperation, the problems in the systems of education and corrections, the issues of war and peace, interethnic issues, support for the most vulnerable layers of the society, etc. The concept will determine the directions of the Council’s future activities and will be reflected in the package of recommendations intended for the authorities and the Public Broadcaster, which is planned to be developed by 2010. |
